Lekhan Basti (लेखन बस्ती) for weight loss

In Ayurveda, Lekhan Basti is a therapeutic procedure that involves administering medicated enemas to address specific health conditions. Lekhan means "scraping" or "cleansing," and Basti refers to the enema therapy in Ayurveda. Lekhan Basti is primarily used to treat disorders related to excess Kapha dosha. The procedure involves introducing herbal decoctions, oils, or ghee (clarified butter) into the rectum through the anal route. The choice of ingredients depends on the individual's constitution and the condition being treated. The main objective of Lekhan Basti is to eliminate accumulated toxins, excess Kapha, and fat from the body. During the procedure, a specially prepared herbal formulation is administered into the rectum using a sterilized enema syringe or equipment. The patient is then asked to retain the enema for a specific period, allowing the medicinal substances to exert their effects. The medicated substances help in scraping off toxins, reducing excess fat, improving digestion, and balancing the Kapha dosha. Lekhan Basti is often recommended for conditions such as obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, rheumatoid arthritis, lymphatic congestion, and certain skin disorders associated with excess Kapha. The therapy aims to enhance metabolism, promote weight loss, reduce inflammation, and restore the balance of doshas.

Netra Tarpan (नेत्र तर्पण)

Netra Tarpan, Ayurveda treatment improves the vision of the eyes and cures eye problems naturally. This Panchkarma procedure nourishes the eyes. This procedure is useful both in healthy as well as diseased people. It protects the eyes from degeneration due to the ageing process in a healthy person. How does Netra Tarpan treat? Netra Tarpan or "hot oil bath" eyes improve blood flow in the eye capillary. Due to increased blood circulation, the fatigue in the eyes is relived. As a result, it improves the quality of zoom-in and zoom-out or focusing strength of the eye ciliary muscle. Netra Tarpan - Procedure : In this frame of black gram, the paste is made around the eyes, followed by pouring the medicated ghee upon the eyes. In this treatment two containers (Made of dough of urdh) are made around the eyes. Oil is filled in these containers. Eyes are kept dipped in the pool of oil. As a result, It refresh the optical nerves and remove wrinkles around the eyes. Janu Basti (जानू बस्ती)

Janu Basti The knee joint is called Janu Sandhi in Sanskrit; hence the name Janu Basti is given to the proceduredone on knee joints. In this the knee joint is bathed with warm medicated oil or freshly prepared herbal decoction. Depending on the condition it can be practised over both the knee joints or on one knee joint. Knee joints are considered as sandhi Marma in Ayurveda (joint type of vital areas) which measure about three fingers (three anguli pramana).So the janu vasti is specialized knee therapy or massage which rejuvenates the Janu marma. Treatment Method: The person lies on his back on the massage table (Droni). A reservoir made of black gram dough is built upon the Knee Joint. The dough ring should be such that it covers the knee joint. After ensuring the ring is leakproof, the lukewarm medicated oil or herbal decoction is slowly poured into it. When that cools down, it is squeezed out with cotton gauze and the procedure is repeated. At the end of the procedure, the ring is removed and the affected area may be gently massaged The person is then made to take a rest for a short while. Raktamokshan - Blood Letting Treatment (रक्तमोक्षण कर्म)

Raktamokshan is the blood cleansing & purification therapy. The word "Raktamokshan" is derived from two words "rakta" which means blood & "mokshan" which means leaves. Virechana Treatment (विरेचन कर्म)

Virechan Virechan is one of the karma from panchakarma therapies wherein purgation is induced by drugs. It specifically aims at the elimination of excessive pitta dosha from the body. It eliminates the metabolic toxins through the anal canal. Virechan karma is carried out in three stages 1. poorva karma ( pre procedure/ snehpan) 2. pradhan karma ( main procedure) 3. paschyat karma (post-procedure) Poorva Karma In poorva karma, medicated ghee is given to the patient in increasing order. massage & steam is also given to the patient. Kati Basti (कटी बस्ती)

Kati Basti is a miraculous Ayurvedic treatment for back pain that effectively corrects various ailments to the lower back and spine. In this process specially prepared warm medicated oil is kept over the lower back with herbal paste boundary. This Ayurveda treatment lasts for 30 minutes to 45 minutes and it is good for any type of back pain and spinal disorders. Shirodhara (शिरोधारा)

Shirodhara is an ancient method of Ayurvedic healing that can help one find harmony within the mind, body and spirit for holistic wellbeing. It is one of the most essential therapies mentioned in Ayurveda that can not only rejuvenate and purify the body but also relieves stress, mental fatigue and treat several disorders. The word ‘Shirodhara’ is derived from two Sanskrit words – ‘Shiro’ meaning the head and ‘Dhara’ meaning stream, pour or flow. Together, it means to pour or drip lukewarm herbal oils on the forehead in a continuous stream. During the therapy, the oil is poured from a certain height for a specific time to allow it to run through the scalp and into the hair. It stimulates a vital point on the head called the ‘Aadnya Marma’ or the ‘Maha-Marma’, which brings stability in the mind and consciousness. According to Ayurveda, the Ajna Marma is the key point through which a vital life force or ‘Prana’ circulates. Udvartanam (उद्वर्तन)

Udwarthanam (Dry massage) Udwarthanam is a special therapeutic deep tissue massage using herbal powders. Udwarthanam means to elevate or to promote. This massage involves upward stroking, where the powder is rubbed forcibly on the body. Classical treatises on Ayurveda explain this procedure as a daily routine. Procedure: The herbal powder is warmed by heating. The massage is done in the opposite direction to hair follicles by two therapists. The procedure is performed in seven postures. After completion the person is advised to take a rest for 30 minutes, followed by a shower with warm water.
